Apply in 7 steps

Are you ready to apply for the Master in Engineering Systems? Here we guide you through the 7 steps of the application process.

Tuition Fees

Your tuition fee depends on your nationality. And whether you already earned a master degree in the Netherlands. Nationalities within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) generally pay a lower tuition fee. The table below shows this as EU/EEA. This includes all EU countries plus Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland and Switzerland. Students from Suriname also pay this lower fee.

The fees are the same whether you do the program in full-time or part-time.

Not sure what your tuition fees apply to your situation? Check out our tuition fees calculator. Within a few clicks, you'll know the exact amount.

Tuition fees for Engineering Systems (all tracks) September 2025 start
Student from EU/EEA or Suriname €2,601
EU/EEA student with master degree from Dutch institution €10,560
Non-EU/EEA student €10,560

Tuition fees for Engineering Systems (all tracks) Februay 2026 start
Student from EU/EEA or Suriname €1,517.25*

*These amounts are 7/12 of the applicable tuition fee because of the February start.

Check out our page about tuition fees for more information. Find out more information about HAN scholarships on this page.

Financial guarantee (non-EU/EEA)

The cost of living in the Netherlands may be very different from in your home country. That’s why you're required to pay a financial guarantee. This amount covers your tuition fee and your cost of living. Paying this ensures you have sufficient funds to live and study in the Netherlands. The financial guarantee is a requirement of the visa process.
