School of Business, Entrepreneurship and Communication
The School of Business, Entrepreneurship and Communication prepares students to seize opportunities and create sustainable value for organizations and society. With a strong focus on entrepreneurial thinking and professional communication, students learn through practice‑based education, close collaboration with industry, and room for personal initiative.

The School of Business, Entrepreneurship and Communication (ABOC) brings commerce, creativity, and entrepreneurship together in a national and international context. The school is home to both Dutch‑taught and English‑taught business programs. Its core domains are communication, entrepreneurship, marketing, and sales. The school also offers education in food, retail, e‑commerce, and digital business.
Our programs
Bachelor, Associate Degree and Master Programs
More than 3,300 HAN students are enrolled in full‑time, part‑time, or work-study programs in the fields of business and communication. Students choose from a diverse offering of bachelor programs, associate degrees, and master programs.
Our English-taught programs
The International School of Business (ISB) is part of the School of Business, Entrepreneurship and Communication and offers its international programs: two bachelor programs, one master program, an associate degree, and a minor. With the exception of the full time Associate Degree in Business Administration – Sustainable International Business, all programs are taught entirely in English. The associate degree is bilingual, with courses offered in both English and Dutch. Our diverse community includes approximately 1,500 students from more than 60 countries, providing a truly international perspective.
