Online services at HAN

If you study at HAN, you can use your HANaccount to log in to the Wi-Fi network using the GetEduroam app.

In Osiris, you will soon track and organize your studies. For example, checking your grades and your schedule, registering for exams or arranging an appointment with your study coach (or learning team coach). You can log into Osiris through the browser or download the Osiris app for Android or IOS.

As a HAN student, you can download Office365 for free. To do this you need a HANaccount.

Among other things, you will get your own HAN mailbox with email address:

• You will receive access to your HAN mailbox when your enrollment is finalized.
• Log in to Office365.han.nl and click Outlook to access your mailbox. Or download the Microsoft Outlook app for free from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
• Log in using your HAN email address and your HANaccount password.
• To make it extra secure, you also need to confirm your login with the Authenticator App on your phone. You can read more about this on HAN Insite at the frequently asked questions about your HAN-mail.

Note: Keep a close eye on your HAN mailbox around the start of your studies. Your program can send important information to this email address. But mails about application, enrollment, re-enrollment and terminating your enrollment will always be sent to the email address you used to create your Studielink account. That's because you arrange these things in your Studielink account.

HAN Insite is HAN's online environment. You will find information about your program, support during your studies and facilities on campus.

Your schedule can be found in the MyX app (My Xedule). You log in using your HANaccount.

Brightspace is HAN's online learning environment. Here you will find learning materials and messages from lecturers.

You will receive that email when your enrollment at HAN is finalized. The email will be sent to the email address you provided when you applied. The sender will be noreply@han.nl. Can’t find it, not even in your spam? Please contact ASK HAN.

Are you starting your full-time or part-time studies in September? Then we can finalize your enrollment at HAN as of 1 July if you meet all enrollment requirements. Sometimes you need to do or provide something for that, sometimes you have to wait for us to process something. You can read more about this at hanuniversity.com/enroll. For February starters, we can finalize your enrollment as of 1 January. Course participants will receive confirmation of their enrollment once the applications have been processed.

To log in to HAN's systems, you will need the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone as well as your HAN email address and password. This multifactor authentication is how HAN secures your data. You can download the Microsoft Authenticator App for Android or IOS.

To get a HANCard you need to upload a passport photo via My Application – your personal application environment. Please note: you can only do this after your enrollment has been finalized. You will receive an email from HAN about this. After you have uploaded your passport photo, your HAN card will be sent to you automatically. Make sure you change your address in Studielink to your Dutch address first.

Once your new enrollment is finalized, you will receive an email with instructions to activate your HANaccount. Is this within a month of completing your previous studies? Then all your files stored on your OneDrive and in Outlook will still be available.

No, as a student or employee, you have different authorizations with your HANaccount. That’s why you will receive a new HANaccount for your new role. Once your enrollment in the program is finalized, you will automatically receive an email with the login details for your new HANaccount. Please note: with a new HANaccount, you will also get a new email address and new access to Microsoft 365. So when you switch roles, you will no longer have access to emails and documents you created or received with your previous HANaccount.

First install the Microsoft Authenticator App on your new phone. Then go to han.nl/mfa and sign in. Click Add Sign-In Method. Follow the steps to register your HANaccount in the Authenticator App on your new phone. Then delete the registration from your old phone. Can’t sign in? Visit an ASK HAN desk to have your MFA reset. 

Can't use the Authenticator App anymore, for example because you deleted it or your phone is broken? Try another login method (text message verification). When logging in to a HAN service, click I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now. If this works, go to han.nl/mfa and re-register your Authenticator App there. Can't sign in? Visit an ASK HAN desk to have your MFA reset.
