Practical info
You’d like to register for the course Programming in Python? On this page you can find some practical information.

The course is taught entirely in English. Therefore, the following applies: your English must be at level B2 (CEFR) or higher. It is your own responsibility to ensure that your English level is sufficient for the course.
If the entire group consists of Dutch‑speaking participants, the sessions may be conducted in Dutch after consultation with the group. The course materials will still be provided in English.
Laptop
You will need to bring your own laptop to the course. It must be a laptop on which you can install your own programs (minimum requirements: 4GB RAM/memory (recommended: 8GB), minimum free hard disk space: 5GB). You will need to install PyCharm Community Edition for the course.Course material
The course materials consist of English‑language presentations. Each course day also includes assignments to practice the materials covered.The course concludes with an assessment during the final session, in which you demonstrate the programming skills you have acquired to receive a HAN certificate. If the assessment result is insufficient but you meet the attendance requirement (max. 1 missed session), you will receive a Certificate of Participation.
Examples of how you might apply your new skills in your work include:
- automating repetitive tasks in everyday workflows;
- automating calculations or visualizing results;
- automating document management or analyzing documents (e.g., legal texts) to quickly find relevant information;
- screening and analyzing CVs using automated criteria;
- automatically analyzing user feedback to identify potential product improvements.

Payment arrangement
It is possible to agree on the terms on which you will make (partial) payments (you can choose up to 3 terms).
