Every student graduating in the coming months will receive a tree of their own. Together, these trees will grow into the new HAN Forest on Sportlaan in Arnhem (Papendal). This fall, graduates will come together to plant their trees during a special community planting event.

With the HAN Forest, HAN is investing in biodiversity, nature restoration, and a healthy living environment for future generations. At the same time, it will become a unique place where education, sustainability, and social engagement come together. In this way, students help create a lasting reminder of their time at HAN while contributing to a greener region for years to come.

Why a HAN forest?

The HAN forest brings together our sustainability ambitions, community involvement and connection with students and alumni. The forest creates space for plants, animals and insects and helps strengthen the region's natural environment. Each graduating student will receive their own tree as a lasting reminder of their time at HAN.

In partnership with Life Terra

HAN aims not only to educate for the future, but also to help build a region that can thrive for generations to come. With the HAN forest, we are investing in nature, connection and future generations. We are working in partnership with Life Terra, a European foundation dedicated to reforestation and ecosystem restoration.
