Ready for the next step in your career? Companies of all sizes want to recruit graduates of this Master of Science degree. Your scientific insight and organizational know-how are just what employers in this industry look for.

Jobs

Our graduates find work in the biotech industry, pharmaceuticals, hospitals and research institutes. With this degree, you have profound knowledge of the molecular and cell biology of prokaryotic and several eukaryotic organisms. And you have the skills to effectively manage projects. This mix of science and organizational skills makes you an ideal candidate for the following positions:

  • Project leader

As a Project Leader, you manage projects of at least 3 to 4 months. You communicate with the lab technicians to ensure the project runs smoothly. And you communicate with management and representatives of other departments on aspects like quality assurance, industry guidelines, statistics, patents and financial issues. In this position, you work for a pharmaceutical, biotech or other life science company.

  • Researcher

As a researcher within life sciences, you'll be involved in planning and conducting experiments and analysing results. You'll usually carry out your experiments and research on your own, but you'll be part of a larger team and will share your findings and relevant information with professional colleagues.

  • Lab Manager

In this position you bring together your management skills and knowledge of safety and lab procedures to ensure that laboratories operate smoothly. You are responsible for all aspects of the lab, including equipment, employees, supplies, software, and documentation. This could be at a pharmaceutical, biotech or other life science company.
