Sustainable Cities and communities
Presentations with students of Münster University
The world is becoming increasingly urbanized. Since 2007, more than half the world’s population has been living in cities, and the UN projects that share will rise to 60% by 2030. This rapidly increasing development creates all kinds of challenges within the urban environment, now and in the future. During this meeting, five German students will present their research related to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 11. They will discuss topics like resource building materials, the supreme discipline of logistics, urban green, climate change and adaptation, and the status of and perspectives about the sustainable energy supply in Germany and Europe. See the time schedule with topics.

The Smart Grids Concept
Webinar with Ballard Asare
Solar energy. Wind energy. A few examples of sustainably generated energy. This renewable energy is being generated in constantly increasing quantities. The share of households that generate their own energy is rising. But what does this mean for the existing grid? What problems do you encounter and how can you solve these problems smartly? Ballard Asare-Bediako explains this in his webinar "The Smart Grids Concept".
