Systems Shaping The Future Symposium
Are you an alumnus of the Academy of Engineering & Automotive (AEA)? If so, we warmly invite you to reconnect with the innovative spirit of our programme. On 24 June, we open the doors for the Systems Shaping the Future Symposium — an inspiring afternoon during which students from semesters 4 and 6 will present their most forward-thinking projects. It’s a great opportunity to see how the programme continues to evolve: meet the students behind the projects, experience new technologies up close, and connect with researchers, companies, and professionals from the field.
This year’s programme also features inspiring guest speakers, each representing innovation in their own way.
We are proud to welcome Nicolas Kiesel from the Audi Formula 1 Team. Nicolas started his journey at the HAN Formula Student Team and, in just six years, progressed to become a Battery Thermal Management Engineer in Formula 1. During his session, he will share his story of innovation, performance, and the path from student projects to the pinnacle of motorsport.
In addition, Bas Emaus from JiTiBa will take us through his story of sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship. Bas was named the most innovative student of 2025 and founded his own startup at the age of 22. In his session, he will show how a young innovator can turn an idea into a venture with real impact. An inspiring story for anyone curious about how technology, courage, and entrepreneurship come together.
