Research Group for Biodiscovery
Optimization of fermentation processes, production of proteins, enzymes, biomolecules or metabolites, and development of new processes and products: through research on these themes, the Research Group for Biodiscovery / HAN BioCentre contribute to building the knowledge and expertise that companies need for development and innovation.
This group is led by Professor Christien Lokman with help from Associate Professors Christof Francke and Richèle Wind (Biobased Economy).
Research Group for Drug Discovery
The Research Group for Drug Discovery operates together with the Research Group for Biodiscovery under the banner of the HAN BioCentre. The research group includes the program tracks ‘working on recovery’ and ‘living with a chronic illness’. Drug Discovery mainly leads to new innovations in Health and Agro & Food.
The group is led by Professor Pedro Hermkens.
